Tender Engineer – Process Design for Waste-to-Energy Projects

About the role
Join the Global Engineering & Supply Chain Tendering team at Kanadevia Inova to develop process design, sizing and costing for international Waste‑to‑Energy EPC projects during the proposal phase.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams and performance guarantees in close collaboration with Chief Engineers.
- Optimize system integration to drive cost competitiveness and coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines (process, electrical, control, civil, procurement, logistics, etc.).
- Review contract specifications, identify risks and opportunities, and participate in technical clarification and negotiation meetings with customers and partners.
- Calculate budgets for engineering and procurement scopes, support RFQ preparation for critical equipment, and analyse supplier offers.
- Compile offer documentation, deviations, bill of quantities and related lists, then hand over successful tenders to the project execution team.
- Maintain tendering know‑how, tools and templates, applying lessons learned from executed projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an international EPC environment (energy, renewables, environmental technology, oil & gas or similar).
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering (Bachelor or Master).
- Solid background in project execution or tendering with strong understanding of technical cost drivers.
- Experience with Waste‑to‑Energy technologies such as combustion & boiler, flue‑gas treatment, water‑steam cycle and balance‑of‑plant.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; autonomous, proactive and team‑oriented.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
