Trust Director

About the role

Our client, a leading independent fiduciary and trust group, is seeking a Trust Director to join its Geneva office. The role involves senior leadership of a sophisticated, multi‑jurisdictional portfolio serving ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, families and entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee administration of an international portfolio of trusts, foundations and corporate entities, ensuring compliance with Swiss (FINMA/FINIA) and relevant foreign regulations.
• Serve as the primary trusted advisor to UHNW clients and family offices, delivering bespoke wealth‑planning and succession solutions.
• Provide expert structuring advice on multi‑jurisdictional arrangements, collaborating with internal compliance and external legal/tax advisors.
• Identify and develop business opportunities to expand services and contribute to the organic growth of the Geneva office.
• Participate in board and committee meetings, upholding the highest standards of risk management and fiduciary governance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior‑level experience in a reputable trust company, multi‑family office, or legal/fiduciary environment in Switzerland.
• Active professional qualification such as STEP Diploma or equivalent legal/financial credentials.
• Fluency in English; French or additional languages are a strong advantage.
• Commercial mindset with an existing book of business or network of professional intermediaries (not mandatory).

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of international trust law and asset‑protection structures.
• Expertise in cross‑border tax principles and Swiss regulatory framework (FINMA/OSIF).
• Ability to design and implement multi‑jurisdictional wealth structures.
