Vice President, GBU Quality

About the role

The Vice President, GBU Quality leads the quality strategy for the Global Business Unit (GBU) manufacturing network, covering both biologics and pharma operations. Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer, this senior leader ensures cGMP compliance, product safety, efficacy, and overall quality across internal and external manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute the quality strategy for the GBU manufacturing organization.
• Provide leadership to a multi‑functional team of quality professionals, including Site Quality Heads and other quality leaders.
• Ensure consistent cGMP compliance and alignment with regulatory trends across all manufacturing and laboratory operations.
• Collaborate closely with Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other cross‑functional functions to drive network performance.
• Build and maintain a robust quality infrastructure (knowledge, processes, systems) to support moderate to high‑complexity products.
• Oversee release, certification, and compliance activities for all commercial biologics and pharma products.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in pharmaceutical or biologics quality management.
• Proven track record of leading large, cross‑functional quality teams in a global environment.
• Deep understanding of cGMP regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance current operational needs and future growth.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
