Vice President Product & Marketing

About the role

ExcellGene, a Swiss biologics development company based in Monthey, is hiring a Vice President Product & Marketing to build its product and marketing function and drive the next phase of growth. This is a new role reporting to the CEO and part of the Executive Leadership Team, working alongside the VP of Global Business Development & Sales and the Chief Scientific & Technology Officer. It connects market, portfolio, positioning, go-to-market and lead generation.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers, market segments, competitors and emerging opportunities
• Shape the portfolio around market needs and ExcellGene's scientific strengths
• Articulate the value proposition and define go-to-market strategies for core business and new growth areas
• Build lead-generation programs and targeted campaigns, and equip Sales with insights, messaging and tools
• Identify and develop new organic opportunities and support the assessment and integration of potential acquisitions
• Lead and develop the Marketing & Product team (3 people)

Required profile

• Scientific background and education, ideally combined with a business or marketing qualification
• 10+ years of relevant product and marketing experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role
• Strong product and marketing experience in biologics; cell-line development or protein expression is highly valued
• Experience in a CRO, CDMO or other scientific services business selling development services alongside products
• Product marketing and broader marketing, with go-to-market experience at strategic and hands-on level
• Ability to turn complex science into clear customer value and a sharp commercial offer
• Start-up mindset, entrepreneurial and hands-on approach
• Nice to have: good understanding of the US market and of Asian markets (India is a plus)
