Accountant (80‑100% FTE) – Basel

About the role

Join Jet Aviation’s Shared Services Accounting team as a Financial Accountant. You will be responsible for the accounting activities of one or more entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting tasks, including preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and VAT declarations.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities according to US GAAP standards.
• Prepare, record, analyse and report financial data, maintaining the integrity of accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and verify transactions.
• Record accounts payable transactions, including employee expense reports.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on accounting matters.

Required profile

• Commercial accounting education with 2‑5 years of relevant experience in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; knowledge of Dutch accounting is a plus.
• Fluent English; German or French language skills are a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and experienced with SAP.
• Results‑driven, customer‑focused, with high personal accountability and solid business acumen.
