Financial Accounting Manager

About the role

The Financial Accounting Manager will lead accounting and reporting activities for KJUS operations in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Reporting to the VP of Business Operations and Finance, the role ensures accurate financial statements, statutory compliance and strong financial controls across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Oversee statutory financial statement preparation and regulatory filings in each country.
• Provide oversight of shared‑services and external accounting providers, monitoring service quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate period‑end close activities, balance‑sheet reviews and resolution of accounting issues.
• Lead internal and external audit processes and maintain robust internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional designation such as CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Minimum 5 years of senior accounting, controllership or financial reporting experience, preferably in a matrixed multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements for Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
• Fluent in English and German (Swiss German preferred) with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems.
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience applying process‑improvement methodologies to finance functions.
