Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will join a multinational finance team responsible for general ledger accounting and financial analysis for the Swiss‑based principal company and its international sales entities across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia‑Pacific. The role supports month‑end closing, reconciliations and audit activities while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, review and reconcile expense reports for multiple entities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly expense accruals.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll, banking and other transactions.
• Execute month‑end closing and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare month‑end analysis for assigned entities.
• Support daily use of the Procurement/Accounts Payable system.
• Help develop and update procedures to improve controls and efficiency.
• Assist internal and external auditors.
• Provide finance‑related support to managers and act as backup for colleagues.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of relevant accounting experience; recent graduates are also welcome.
• Degree in Accounting or a commercial diploma.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Fluent in French and English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Experience with US‑based companies is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Familiarity with accounting software packages.
