Agentic AI for Environmental Regulatory Compliance Internship

About the role

Join Roche Diagnostics for a six‑month internship to explore how agentic AI can transform environmental regulatory compliance for medical devices worldwide. You will work within the Product Sustainability & Compliance team, collaborating across functions and geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Pilot an agentic AI platform to identify, interpret and map global environmental regulations applicable to medical devices and in‑vitro diagnostics.
• Develop evaluation criteria defining regulatory scope, product categories and attributes.
• Benchmark the AI solution against existing tools and third‑party solutions, assessing coverage, accuracy and usability.
• Assess business applicability and integration potential with Roche’s processes.
• Document findings and provide evidence‑based recommendations for future adoption.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computational Science or a related discipline.
• Curiosity about environmental regulations, sustainability and healthcare innovation.
• Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for solving complex challenges.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI tools and data analysis technologies.
