APAC Regional Team Internship – UNEP Finance Initiative

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme – Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is seeking a motivated intern to support its APAC Regional Team. This 6‑month internship, based in Geneva with remote flexibility, offers exposure to sustainable finance research, policy dialogue, and capacity‑building activities across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documents.
• Conduct desk research on financial markets, ESG trends, and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Assist in the design and delivery of capacity‑building initiatives, including training coordination and event logistics.
• Support the preparation of briefing notes, reports, and presentation materials for regional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in finance, economics, environmental studies, or a related field.
• Strong interest in sustainable finance and the intersection of finance and environmental policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
