Area Construction Superintendent – Calm Buoy Project

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking an Area Construction Superintendent to lead multi‑discipline construction activities for the Calm Buoy project. You will coordinate topside module fabrication, integration, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with HSSE, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction methods, priorities and schedules for assigned areas/modules.
• Coordinate system/sub‑system mechanical completion (MC) and pre‑commissioning checks (PCC).
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership on site, supervising supervisors and other personnel.
• Develop and maintain short‑term look‑ahead schedules and progress trackers.
• Track daily progress, report status, and enforce quality and safety standards.
• Offer technical expertise on construction techniques and best practices.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, implement solutions to reduce non‑productive time.
• Manage discipline interfaces, capture lessons learned, and assess change impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Significant experience in the construction industry, including construction and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to lead and manage on‑site teams and ensure smooth operations.
