Assistant Head of Technical Services (m/w/d)

About the role

The Assistant Head of Technical Services supports the Head of Technical Services in the operational management and ongoing development of all technical areas of the property. The role ensures the reliable, safe and efficient operation of the infrastructure and assumes responsibility for the department in the Head's absence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily technical operations, maintenance activities and repairs
• Take part in planning and implementing maintenance, investment, renovation and construction projects
• Help organise the technical team's daily work and lead and develop team members
• Depute for the Head of Technical Services during their absence
• Supervise external service providers and contractors
• Support cost monitoring, procurement and investment planning
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, safety standards and internal policies
• Work closely with all departments to improve technical processes, energy efficiency and resource management

Required profile

• Completed technical training, ideally supplemented by further education in building services engineering, facility management or a related discipline
• Several years of experience in technical services or facility management, preferably in hospitality or a similarly complex environment
• Experience coordinating employees or small teams; initial leadership experience is an advantage
• Swiss or EU nationality is required

Required skills

• Broad technical knowledge of building services, maintenance, energy efficiency, occupational safety and technical infrastructure
• Experience supporting or coordinating maintenance, renovation or construction projects
• Recognised qualification as Safety Officer (SIBE) and/or Contact Person for Occupational Safety (KOPAS)
• At least two of English, German and Italian
