Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing/Management

About the role

Franklin Switzerland seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing/Management to join its interdisciplinary, international academic community. The appointment begins in August 2027, subject to funding, and offers a clear pathway for promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a typical load of six courses per year (approximately 36–38 ECTS), including courses with an integrated Academic Travel component.
• Develop and deliver courses such as Principles of Marketing, Market Research Methods, Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, and Green Marketing.
• Design experiential, project‑based learning activities that connect classroom concepts with real‑world business challenges.
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses, industry professionals, and institutional partners in Switzerland and abroad to expand internship, mentoring, and career opportunities.
• Maintain an active research agenda in Marketing or a related discipline, contributing to peer‑reviewed publications and scholarly collaboration.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and participate in faculty governance, committees, and institutional service.

Required profile

• PhD in Marketing, Management, or Business Administration completed by the start date.
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching within a North‑American liberal arts model.
• Experience teaching Marketing in an interdisciplinary manner and ability to link business topics with broader global and liberal‑arts perspectives.
• Readiness to develop experiential and project‑based pedagogies and external partnerships.
• Active research program with potential for peer‑reviewed publications appropriate to career stage.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a Swiss official language is an asset.
