Assistant - Technology Risk, IT Audit (Financial Services)

About the role

EY's Technology Risk team advises banks and financial institutions on IT risk assessment and management, data security and confidentiality. As an Assistant in Technology Risk in the EMEIA Financial Services practice, you will support experienced colleagues in IT audits and advisory assignments, starting as a reliable point of contact for internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in examining IT controls of financial institutions as part of IT audits and advisory assignments, such as IT general controls, regulatory or group IT audits, client-requested projects, IT due diligence and third-party assurance projects
• Support monitoring of processes so they meet audit objectives, learning each step of the audit process
• Help document audit projects on time and in line with audit standards, the global audit methodology and best practices
• Contribute to preparing audit reports presented to clients and other parties
• Collaborate with the audit team, keeping senior team members informed on progress
• Take part in an educational program to develop skills and knowledge in IT auditing

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, (Business-) Information Technology or an equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM or CRISC) are an advantage
• Fluent English; German and additional languages are an advantage
• Team player with analytical, problem-solving and clear communication skills, entrepreneurial and performance-oriented
