Associate Medical Director – Clinical Development

About the role

GRANITE BIO, a private biotechnology company in Basel, is seeking an Associate Medical Director to lead early‑stage clinical programs in immunology and inflammation. You will work on first‑in‑class monoclonal antibodies targeting inflammatory monocytes and IL‑3, guiding their progression from Phase 1 to later stages.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and report Phase 1/2 clinical trials in the I&I space.
• Contribute to medical team and overall clinical development strategy.
• Develop and review trial documents such as protocols, ICFs, IBs, SoAs, TPPs, and SAPs.
• Ensure safety and efficacy data generation in compliance with GCP and corporate SOPs.
• Perform medical monitoring, including eligibility assessments, safety review, and coding oversight.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet study milestones.
• Assist in statistical analysis plan development and data interpretation.
• Author and review clinical documents, safety management plans, and medical monitoring plans.

Required profile

• Advanced medical degree (MD or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research or development within pharma/biotech, preferably early‑phase trials.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with investigators, consultants, and vendors.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and organizational skills.
