Associate Programme Officer – Planning & Performance (Temporary)

About the role

The Associate Programme Officer supports corporate‑level planning, performance monitoring and reporting for ITC programmes, projects and operations. Working within the Planning and Performance Team, the role provides actionable information to senior management and ensures compliance with ITC’s reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate development, implementation and monitoring of programmes and projects, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct research, collect and analyse statistical data from diverse sources, and present findings.
• Support strategic planning and reporting, including analysis of emerging trends and preparation of background papers and analytical notes.
• Assist in survey design, data‑collection tool development, data analysis and preparation of preliminary conclusions.
• Provide administrative and substantive support for meetings, conferences and outreach activities, including agenda setting and logistics.
• Contribute to budget‑related activities such as programme planning, progress reporting, financial reporting and preparation of work programmes.
• Undertake any other duties as required by supervisors.

Required profile

• Professionalism with strong quantitative and financial analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work under delegated authority and follow supervision from senior officers.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting reports, background papers and analytical notes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
