AWS Cloud Engineer – Hybrid (Mostly Remote)

About the role

A Swiss technology company, represented by NonStop Consulting, is looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer who wants ownership, exposure and freedom rather than just maintaining someone else's infrastructure. You will work on innovative, complex AWS projects, design and build environments from the ground up, and act as a technical sparring partner for clients. The position is hybrid, with about two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer AWS environments and build multi-account architectures
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and support cloud migrations
• Develop secure, scalable solutions for customers and speak directly with them
• Translate client needs into technical solutions and help lead projects through to delivery

Required profile

• Fluent German, as you will work directly with Swiss clients
• Ideally 2+ years of professional cloud experience and comfort taking responsibility for solutions and projects
• A technically strong, curious person who enjoys both the technical and consulting sides of engineering

Required skills

• AWS and AWS Solutions Architect certification (important); AWS Security or Advanced Networking knowledge is a big plus
• Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud architecture, cloud migration, networking and security
• REST APIs and scripting
