AWS DevOps Engineer (Banking Domain)

About the role

We are looking for a senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our banking team in Geneva. The role is fully onsite and requires strong expertise in AWS cloud services, automation, and container orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business owners, analysts, project managers and suppliers to translate business use cases into technical solutions.
• Work closely with solution architecture, IAM, infrastructure and security teams to design and implement robust cloud and on‑prem architectures.
• Take accountability for all technical infrastructure changes related to the application stack.
• Analyse defects and incidents, identify root causes and deliver comprehensive remediation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an AWS and DevOps Engineer.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
• Strong background in automation, monitoring and security for both cloud and on‑prem environments.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, Load Balancer, Lambda, S3, EBS.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (module creation).
• Version control & CI/CD: GitLab, GitHub.
• Scripting: Python, Shell/Bash.
• Containerisation: Docker, Dockerfile creation.
• Orchestration: Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, YAML for micro‑service deployment.
• Security: AWS IAM roles, VM security.
• Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch, on‑prem monitoring tools.
• Configuration management: Puppet, Ansible.
• Programming languages: Java, Go (optional).
