Business Analyst - Credit Risk Applications (Private Banking)

About the role

Julius Baer's Global Products & Solutions (GPS) platform covers Structured Products, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Lending. It is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support Run-the-Bank activities for Credit Availability Check, translating business needs into technology solutions and helping the Product Owner of the Global Lending Platform cover existing and new applications. This is a 12-month contract role with an external agency payroll provider.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, review processes and recommend improvements, and turn needs into requirement documents, user stories, process maps and acceptance criteria
• Document end-to-end user journeys and maintain requirements traceability and controlled change processes
• Analyse system interfaces, payloads and data exchanges, and catalogue database schemas and relationships
• Model integrated workflows covering UIs, APIs, backend services and databases, and lead solution specifications including functional designs, interface contracts and non-functional requirements
• Produce solution artefacts such as requirement specifications, test strategies, test cases, architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps
• Work with Product Owners, Solution Architects and developers on feasibility, release planning and compliance with risk and regulatory standards
• Meet legal, regulatory and compliance standards and uphold integrity, due diligence and fair dealing

Required profile

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis or an equivalent IT role, preferably in Credit Risk, private banking or wealth management
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage
• Ability to work autonomously in a global, matrixed team and to collaborate across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Compliance and Risk
• Comfortable with fast-paced, regulated environments and tight deadlines

Required skills

• Jira and Confluence, preferably in an Agile/Scrum framework
• SQL for data extraction, validation and analysis
• Experience with the T24 core banking system is an advantage
