Business Data Analyst – Commercial & Finance

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Business Data Analyst to support strategic decision‑making across a regional organisation. Working closely with Finance, Sales and Operations, you will turn data into actionable insights, support financial planning and help drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse commercial, financial and operational performance across the region.
• Develop business cases to support strategic investments and growth initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Partner with Sales teams to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
• Extract, structure and analyse data from ERP and business intelligence platforms.
• Produce management reporting and dashboards using Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau.
• Support ERP transformation projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Participate in data integration and EDI‑related projects with external partners and suppliers.
• Challenge assumptions, improve processes and identify efficiency gains.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Analytics, FP&A or Business Intelligence.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to build business cases.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent in English, German and French; Italian is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management across Finance, Sales and Operations.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented and comfortable challenging assumptions.
