Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager based in Switzerland to drive the growth of our client base across Europe. The role is central to our European expansion, targeting high‑profile individuals, executives and leading brands for Status Labs.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and research new business opportunities across European markets via phone, email, LinkedIn and social media.
• Pitch Status Labs’ services to prospective clients, including executives, founders and public figures.
• Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing new business.
• Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities in HubSpot CRM with consistent follow‑up.
• Develop and grow relationships with referral partners across your markets.
• Prepare tailored proposals and reputation‑management reports for prospects.
• Transition closed clients into long‑term account management relationships and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Strategy and Account Management teams to refine outreach and messaging.
• Stay up‑to‑date with trends in digital PR, reputation management and SEO.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably selling high‑involvement services or products.
• Comfortable working autonomously within a hybrid, multi‑country European team.
• Polished communicator with excellent written and verbal English.
• Additional European languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish) are a strong plus.
• Experience in reputation management, PR, communications or a related agency background is preferred but not essential.
• Curious and commercially aware with a genuine interest in media, branding, current affairs and international relations.
• Strong researcher, highly organised, and able to manage your own pipeline and priorities.
