Campaign Director – Switzerland

About the role

CitizenGO is looking for a bold and strategic Campaign Director to lead national and global advocacy campaigns in Switzerland. You will shape public debate, influence decision‑makers and represent the organisation while working remotely with flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and run national and global online campaigns, mobilising supporters and tracking political developments.
• Prepare, translate and adapt campaign communications for the Swiss context, including emails, press releases and briefing documents.
• Organise offline actions such as petition deliveries, public stunts and coalition building with like‑minded organisations.
• Engage with media, influencers and activists, and represent CitizenGO in public speaking and media activities.
• Manage a Campaign Associate, oversee petition reviews, monitor website language accuracy and support AI‑driven content creation.

Required profile

• Based in Switzerland, native German speaker with at least B2 English proficiency (Duolingo test required).
• Willingness to travel for offline events about once a month and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.
• Strong strategic, creative and analytical thinking, with experience in civic advocacy and grassroots campaigning.
• High professionalism, self‑motivation, results‑oriented delivery and ability to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using CRM and project‑management tools.
• Ability to work with Artificial Intelligence tools for content generation.
