Capex Buyer – Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Capex Buyer to join the procurement team of a leading international pharmaceutical and CDMO player. The role focuses on executing CAPEX procurement activities for projects and operational buying scopes, ensuring compliance with internal processes and delivering cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities related to CAPEX projects, including supplier sourcing, RFI/RFQ issuance and evaluation.
• Conduct negotiations and secure contracts that meet technical, quality and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance and project teams to support investment initiatives.
• Oversee contract administration and monitor supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and implement cost‑optimization opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to the client’s procurement procedures and group standards.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of procurement experience, specifically in CAPEX categories such as construction, infrastructure or industrial equipment.
• Background in a regulated or industrial environment (pharma, biotech, chemicals) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of technical project environments and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Proven ability to interact with cross‑functional stakeholders in an international setting.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least three days per week in Visp.
