About the role

St George's International School is seeking a passionate Guitar Teacher to join the music department for the academic year starting August 2026. The role involves delivering high‑quality, age‑appropriate guitar instruction to students aged 10‑18, fostering a love of music while upholding the school’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individual and group guitar lessons for students of varying abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback in line with departmental policies.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and act as a role model for students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular music activities.

Required profile

• Certified teacher with a recognised qualification in music education.
• Legal right to work in Switzerland.
• Proven experience teaching secondary and post‑16 students, preferably in an international school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to set clear expectations.
• Enthusiastic, resilient, well‑organised and a genuine team player.
