Casual Guitar Teacher

About the role

St George's International School is looking for a passionate Casual Guitar Teacher to join its music department for the 2026 academic year. You will deliver high‑quality, age‑appropriate guitar instruction to students aged 10‑18, fostering a love of music while upholding the school's core values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individual and group guitar lessons for students of varying abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback in line with departmental policies.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and act as a role model for students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
• Participate in school events and represent the music department externally.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a recognised music or guitar teaching certification.
• Legal right to work in Switzerland.
• Proven experience teaching secondary‑level students, preferably in an international school setting.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work well within a team.
