CFO / COO – Finance & Operations Leader

About the role

This is a hands‑on senior leadership position reporting directly to the founders and private‑equity investor of a fast‑growing Swiss software company. The role combines the responsibilities of a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer to build a transparent, PE‑grade financial infrastructure and professionalise the broader back‑office.

Key responsibilities

• Own Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Treasury and Tax functions and deliver private‑equity‑grade reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Develop KPI‑driven performance management and provide clear visibility to founders, board and investors.
• Build scalable financial processes, controls and governance suitable for the next growth stage.
• Manage external service providers such as auditors, tax advisors and accounting firms.
• Support strategic planning, financing initiatives, acquisitions and exit preparation.
• Lead HR, administration and internal processes, improving systems, workflows and cross‑functional coordination.
• Professionalise the operational platform without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Free founders to focus on product, client and commercial growth while acting as a strategic partner.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience (CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance) preferably in software, data analytics or technology‑enabled services.
• Strong understanding of founder‑led, high‑growth, entrepreneurial environments.
• Experience with private‑equity investors, shareholder reporting or similar demanding environments.
• Track record of establishing financial transparency, reporting, planning and controls in a scaling business.
• Commercial and operational mindset with willingness to take responsibilities beyond traditional CFO duties.
• Ability to execute tasks personally while building scalable structures for the future.
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills.
