CFO – International Investment Firm (Zurich area)

About the role

The client is a well‑established international investment firm headquartered in Switzerland and expanding globally. They are seeking a hands‑on Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team in the Zurich area and drive the finance function through the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team as a strategic business advisor, shaping the company’s long‑term financial strategy.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation across a multi‑entity, international organization.
• Oversee all finance operations including accounting, consolidation, management reporting and internal controls.
• Deliver timely financial statements, KPI dashboards and commercial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital planning and overall financial performance.
• Drive the professionalisation of the finance function, improving systems, processes and governance frameworks.
• Lead external audit, tax, banking and other stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Build, develop and lead a high‑performing finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a multi‑billion‑AUM private markets or asset‑management platform.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, accounting, group reporting, internal controls and governance in a complex, international, multi‑entity environment.
• Track record of building and scaling finance functions while driving process improvements.
• Hands‑on, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
