Chef de Partie – Luxury Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to lead a kitchen station within its prestigious culinary team. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure high‑quality, beautifully presented dishes while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead your assigned kitchen station, guaranteeing smooth daily operations and adherence to quality and hygiene standards.
• Prepare dishes to the hotel’s elevated culinary expectations, ensuring attractive presentation.
• Control and minimise food waste through efficient, forward‑thinking practices.
• Contribute creatively to the development of new dishes and food concepts.
• Coordinate supply requests with supervisors and monitor daily goods receipt.
• Oversee daily hygiene controls and maintain cleanliness in line with HACCP guidelines.

Required profile

• Completed culinary apprenticeship with 2–3 years of professional experience, preferably in upscale hospitality or gastronomy.
• High flexibility and resilience, including availability for weekend and holiday shifts.
• Creativity, strong attention to detail, and a desire to bring your own culinary signature.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• Leadership experience supervising a kitchen station.
• Very good German and English language skills; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HACCP food safety standards.
