Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

We are a confidential, Switzerland‑based IVD startup seeking an experienced, hands‑on CEO to guide the company through its next growth phase. The role demands a seasoned operator who thrives in early‑stage, high‑growth environments and can balance strategic leadership with day‑to‑day execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement company strategy in partnership with the Board and key stakeholders.
• Lead the organization through scaling, structuring, and operational maturity.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing leadership team.
• Drive fundraising efforts across venture and strategic investors.
• Represent the company externally with investors, partners, and industry bodies.
• Oversee operational delivery across all functions, ensuring focus and execution.
• Position the business for long‑term growth and potential exit opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CEO or equivalent C‑level leader in an IVD/medical‑device startup.
• Track record of building companies from early stage through to exit.
• Demonstrated fundraising success (seed to Series B+ preferred).
• Established network within clinical and pharma ecosystems.
• Experience leading teams in regulated, high‑growth settings.
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, and execution‑focused mindset.
• Strong relationship‑building skills across technical, clinical, and investor communities.
• Willingness to be deeply embedded on‑site in Lausanne several days per week.
