Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing renewable energy company. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board and senior management to shape financial strategy, secure project financing and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the financial strategy, aligning planning, capital allocation and risk management with growth objectives.
• Take full responsibility for finance, controlling, treasury, tax and management reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term business planning and monthly closing processes.
• Evaluate new renewable energy projects, develop financial models and business cases, and advise on investment decisions.
• Lead project finance and debt financing initiatives, including negotiations with banks and lenders.
• Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and finance systems as the company scales.

Required profile

• 7+ years of finance experience with senior responsibility (Finance Director, Head of Finance, etc.).
• Background in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, EPC, utilities or a similar project‑driven industry.
• Native German speaker and fluent English.
