Chief Technology Officer (Volunteer)

About the role

The International Council of Peace and Security (ICPS) is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer on a volunteer, pro‑bono basis. As CTO you will shape the organisation’s digital strategy, ensuring that its technology infrastructure supports its mission of promoting global peace and security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT and web design teams, providing mentorship and strategic direction.
• Oversee web infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain a user‑friendly website that reflects ICPS values and enhances public engagement.
• Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and communications.
• Collaborate with research and policy teams to integrate digital tools that support analysis and outreach.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior technology leadership, preferably within non‑profit or international organisations.
• Strong understanding of web infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, and digital project management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multicultural, remote teams.
• Commitment to the mission of peace, security, and human rights.
