Client Finance & Services Partner

About the role

IMD, an independent university institute founded in 1945 and operating from Lausanne with hubs in Singapore, Shenzhen and Cape Town, is recruiting a Client Finance & Services Partner within its Finance team. The role owns end-to-end invoicing activities, ensuring a consistent, client-centred experience while safeguarding revenue quality and supporting timely cash collection. It works closely with Program Advisors and cross-functional stakeholders, from client application through invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate recording of invoices, payments, transfers and cancellations in IMD's systems, in close coordination with the Accounting & Sales Department.
• Support payment follow-ups on outstanding receivables to contribute to timely cash collection.
• Act as the point of contact for finance-related questions raised by clients.
• Collaborate with Program Advisors, Accounting, Legal, IT and other IMD teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth delivery from enrolment through invoicing and payment.
• Identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities across the invoicing landscape.

Required profile

• High school graduate (Swiss Baccalaureate level).
• 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance department.
• Experience with invoicing and payment processes, including complex client situations such as special payment terms, transfers, cancellations and client onboarding.
• Experience working with financial systems and data, with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.
• Valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EEA/EFTA citizenship required.

Required skills

• Excellent computer skills; Office software is a minimum requirement.
• CRM/Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• English mother tongue or complete fluency; French and another language a plus.
