Cloud Network & Security Engineer (Akamai & Azure)

About the role

The Swatch Group Services IT division supports the digital transformation of a global watchmaker and is looking for a Cloud Network & Security Engineer for its growing Network & Security team. You will work on Akamai CDN solutions and Azure networking and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimize Akamai solutions (Ion, Image Manager, Kona Site Defender, Edge Workers) for performance, availability and security
• Implement edge caching, traffic offload, acceleration and bot management
• Design and maintain Azure networking services such as Virtual Networks, Hub & Spoke, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway and Load Balancers
• Implement and manage Azure Landing Zones aligned with governance, security and connectivity standards
• Manage security controls across Akamai and Azure, including WAF, DDoS protection, firewall policies and private connectivity
• Integrate CDN, cloud and network services with application, infrastructure and security teams
• Develop automation, IaC and CI/CD solutions, and monitor, troubleshoot and optimize services
• Contribute to technical standards and best practices for cloud networking, security and hybrid infrastructure

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• At least 5 years of professional experience in cloud networking, network security, CDN or infrastructure engineering
• Fluent English and French; German is an asset
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams

Required skills

• Azure networking and cloud connectivity architectures, including Azure Landing Zone
• Enterprise networking: routing, switching, VPN, DNS, load balancing, network segmentation
• Network security: firewalls, VPN, WAF, DDoS protection
• CDN (Akamai or equivalent) and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitLab CI
• IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Certifications such as AZ-700, AZ-500, AZ-305, Palo Alto PCNSE and Akamai Certified Professional are a plus
