Cocoa Merchandiser

About the role

The Cocoa Trader – EMEA will lead the expansion of StoneX's cocoa business across European and African markets. You will work closely with the existing cocoa team to develop supply and buying relationships, manage procurement logistics and drive profitable trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the European and African cocoa business strategy.
• Build and maintain supply and buying relationships for cocoa beans and products in the target regions.
• Manage day‑to‑day activities including origin procurement, logistics and sales.
• Collaborate with financial risk, credit risk and trade operations teams.
• Track daily P&L accurately and ensure proper reporting.
• Identify cross‑marketing opportunities with StoneX’s broader derivative brokerage services.
• Represent StoneX at industry events to raise the firm’s profile.

Required profile

• Extensive trading experience in cocoa with deep knowledge of European and African markets.
• Proven track record of delivering positive P&L results.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make commercial decisions.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organisational capabilities.
