Communications Consultant – Remote (5‑month contract)

About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is seeking a Communications Consultant to support its global outreach and sustainability messaging. This is a remote, home‑based assignment lasting five months.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communications materials across digital, web‑based and print channels.
- Support the promotion of UNEP FI’s Principles for Responsible Banking and Principles for Sustainable Insurance.
- Help broaden outreach to financial institutions, regulators, governments and multi‑stakeholder groups.
- Produce content that highlights sustainability integration in the financial sector.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging.
Required profile
- Proven experience in communications, preferably within sustainability or finance contexts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English.
- Familiarity with UN environmental initiatives is an advantage.
