About the role
The Communications Specialist supports the Humanitarian Response Division (HRD) in delivering UNFPA’s humanitarian mandate. Based in Geneva, the role works under the Emergency Director and reports to the Head of the External Relations Unit, focusing on visibility and media content during emergencies.
Key responsibilities
- Support HRD in standardising the humanitarian communication response.
- Increase visibility for UNFPA’s humanitarian activities through media outreach and content development.
- Enhance humanitarian media content during emergency situations, ensuring timely and accurate information.
- Contribute to external relations, partnership‑building and resource mobilisation in a rapidly changing development landscape.
