Community & Marketing Specialist

About the role

Axiosys GmbH is seeking a Community & Marketing Specialist to shape the public presence of its upcoming indie game Mawforged. This role focuses on building and nurturing the community, creating authentic content, and driving organic growth before launch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Mawforged’s public presence across Discord, X/Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Steam.
• Grow and moderate the Discord community, ensuring active and respectful engagement.
• Plan, write and schedule posts, dev updates, announcements and short marketing texts.
• Transform screenshots, video clips and behind‑the‑scenes material into compelling content.
• Prepare marketing assets for wishlist campaigns, demos, playtests and launch.
• Research similar games, communities, creators and competitors to identify promotion opportunities.
• Support outreach to streamers, YouTubers, press and potential partners.
• Track performance of content and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Maintain clear, honest and consistent communication with the community.

Required profile

• Strong English writing skills with a human, non‑corporate tone.
• Understanding of social media dynamics and community building.
• Interest in indie, survival, dark‑fantasy and RPG games.
• Ability to take initiative, suggest ideas and work independently.
• Reliability in communication and comfort with the messiness of early‑stage projects.
