Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Senior Specialist

About the role

JPMorganChase is hiring a Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Senior Specialist within its Testing Center of Excellence. The role strengthens how the firm identifies, tests and reduces compliance and operational risk by executing precise, accountable testing, assessing the control environment and communicating clear, actionable results to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end testing, including planning, fieldwork and reporting, on schedule
• Assess control design and implementation and evaluate control operating effectiveness against defined testing standards
• Develop test steps, select samples and gather evidence to support conclusions
• Identify control gaps, analyse root causes and document impact and risk
• Communicate results, themes and recommended actions to stakeholders clearly and on time
• Work with business and control teams to agree remediation actions, milestones and accountability
• Track remediation progress and validate or re-test to confirm sustainable closure
• Recommend improvements to testing approaches, templates and processes

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience executing and managing testing processes in a risk and control environment
• Ability to assess control environments, identify gaps and evaluate control design and operating effectiveness
• Ability to turn policies, procedures and business processes into structured test steps and measurable criteria
• Strong analytical skills, including comparing information across sources and spotting key drivers and themes
• Clear documentation and communication skills for varied audiences
• Collaboration skills across functions and strong organisation to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency with common business tools for testing documentation and reporting, such as spreadsheets and presentations
• Preferred: experience with KYC and anti-money laundering programmes, familiarity with economic sanctions and OFAC requirements, audit background, and certifications such as CIA or CRCM
