Construction Superintendent – Topside (Local Chinese)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead topside construction activities for SBM Offshore projects in China. The role ensures that all construction work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, supporting the company’s blue‑economy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all construction activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with HSSE, quality and schedule requirements.
• Conduct constructability reviews and provide input to engineering teams.
• Perform advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments and feasibility studies to guide project decisions.
• Provide guidance on construction techniques and mentor the construction team.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, implement solutions to reduce non‑productive time and improve performance.
• Manage interfaces between disciplines, monitor construction progress and prioritize issues to meet project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations and construction processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
