Consultant, Climate Change and Sustainability Services - Financial Services

About the role

EY is looking for a high-performing Consultant to join its Climate Change and Sustainability Services team focused on Financial Services, based in Zurich. You will work on market-leading projects with clients across banking, insurance, pensions, wealth and asset management and private equity, covering regulatory developments, reporting and disclosure, net-zero strategies and climate metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver client projects on sustainability topics such as regulation implementation and sustainability reporting and assurance engagements for financial services organisations
• Create commercial insights for clients, adapt methods to local contexts and contribute to thought leadership
• Improve operational efficiency on projects and drive them to completion
• Build a positive learning culture with colleagues and help develop EY's technical capabilities
• Work with colleagues outside the team on multi-disciplinary, cross-geographical work

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, environmental sciences or a related field
• Internship or experience in ESG, sustainable finance or climate risk, preferably in advisory, assurance or consulting
• Experience in non-financial information, integrated reporting or ESG assurance is a plus
• Good knowledge of SDGs, GHG accounting, PCAF, carbon footprinting or life cycle analysis is a plus
• Understanding of ESG in financial services and of emerging technologies such as AI
• Excellent German and English; French is a plus
