Control System Engineer – Automation Projects

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Control System Engineer to join our engineering team in Geneva. You will work on innovative automation projects, designing, implementing and optimizing control solutions for industrial processes and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement industrial control systems for automation projects.
• Program, configure and troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms.
• Create control strategies, logic diagrams and functional specifications.
• Integrate control systems with sensors, instrumentation, drives and third‑party equipment.
• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues using structured troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as control narratives, electrical schematics and operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations and cybersecurity requirements.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, software developers and operations teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
