Corporate Communication Manager – Hybrid – Zurich

About the role

We are looking for a Corporate Communication Manager to join our Corporate Communication & Public Affairs team. You will help strengthen SMG’s reputation through clear, consistent and impactful communication across media relations, financial communications and internal channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage media relations, including enquiries, monitoring, press releases, statements, Q&As and spokesperson activities.
• Lead media and PR activities for the Finance & Insurance business.
• Support financial communications together with Investor Relations – annual results, Annual Report and AGM.
• Craft key messages, speaking points and presentations for C‑level executives.
• Assist internal communications on group‑wide topics and adapt content for target groups.
• Coordinate communication for strategic projects such as sustainability and cybersecurity.
• Collaborate with senior management, Business Unit Communication Managers and external agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, with strong media relations experience in the Swiss market.
• Experience or strong interest in financial and capital markets communications.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills, able to translate complex topics for target audiences.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling time‑critical topics.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on, collaborative style with high reliability and attention to quality.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
