Cybersecurity Project Manager – FINMA, NIST & ISO

About the role

Our client, a leading financial institution in Switzerland, seeks a Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead complex security initiatives in a regulated environment. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with FINMA requirements and implementing NIST and ISO 27001/27002 standards across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver cybersecurity projects within the financial sector.
• Ensure compliance with FINMA circulars, directives, guidelines and emerging regulations.
• Conduct and coordinate security assessments, gap analyses, and evaluations based on NIST and ISO 27001/27002.
• Prepare, facilitate, and follow up on decision‑making processes with senior management (CISO, CIO, CEO, department heads).
• Manage stakeholders across business units, IT, Risk, Compliance, and external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in IT/Security or as an interim CISO/CIO.
• Proven track record leading cybersecurity projects, preferably in the financial sector.
• Recent (within 3 years) experience working with FINMA or on FINMA‑governed projects.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 frameworks.
• Fluent German (C1/C2 level).
