About the role

Join us in advancing precision oncology. Oncobit develops CE‑IVDR‑certified molecular diagnostics for precision oncology. Our software team builds the platform behind these diagnostics, from IVD analysis software to data pipelines and clinical reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our IVD analysis software within a regulated software lifecycle, including design control, verification and technical documentation.
• Extend and maintain data storage and processing solutions and integrate them with our analysis software.
• Maintain the code behind analytical and clinical performance evaluations and run the analyses.
• Curate data from performance studies and build visualizations and analyses for studies, publications, and marketing.
• Collaborate closely with assay development, laboratory operations, medical affairs, and quality & regulatory affairs teams.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field, with 1+ year of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on skills in Python and SQL, with solid software engineering practices such as version control, code reviews and testing.
• Solid grasp of applied statistics fundamentals (descriptive statistics, data distributions, hypothesis testing).
• Motivation to work on a regulated medical device where documentation, traceability and data protection are essential.
• Team player who works in a structured, reliable manner, thrives in a fast‑moving environment and is willing to take on IT and cloud administration tasks.
• Good written and spoken English (German is an advantage).
