Solutions Architect – Digital Platforms (Google Cloud)

About the role

As a Solutions Architect in the Global Solutions and Consumer AI organization of Google Cloud, you will help financial‑services customers modernise their capital‑markets workflows. You will design and prototype blockchain‑based position‑keeping and wallet services that enable AI agents to access real‑time financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect a scalable position‑keeping service for blockchain networks supporting tokenised, detokenised and hybrid financial instruments.
• Architect and oversee development of a wallet service that lets AI agents query real‑time position data for customers.
• Partner with client leads to create Product Requirement Documents, define critical user journeys and success metrics.
• Integrate solutions with modern data foundations – relational databases, data lakehouses and real‑time streaming pipelines – optimised for AI retrieval and financial insights.
• Produce technical guides to ensure smooth hand‑off from proof‑of‑concept to engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 7 years of software or data‑engineering experience, including Python, Go or Java development, design patterns, testing frameworks and API contract design.
• Experience with back‑office clearance, trade reconciliation and transaction‑settlement risk mitigation.
• Hands‑on experience designing Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) solutions and smart contracts for regulated Financial Market Infrastructures.
• Familiarity with financial‑services regulations, data residency, encryption (CMEK) and explainable‑AI requirements.
