About the role
The Data Generation & Patient Services Lead will define and execute Biogen's Intercontinental medical evidence‑generation and patient services strategies across current and future therapeutic areas. This senior position partners with Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Value & Access and Country Medical teams to shape evidence and patient‑centric solutions that support market access and lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the data‑generation strategy by collaborating with country medical teams and cross‑functional partners to anticipate evidence needs and develop integrated plans for HTA, market access and regulatory expectations.
- Lead regional evidence‑generation programs, including real‑world evidence, registries, outcomes research, investigator collaborations and clinical trials.
- Identify evidence gaps across therapeutic areas and translate them into regional priorities and recommendations for global development.
- Define and advance patient services strategies that address unmet medical needs throughout the patient journey.
- Establish governance for regional research investments, ensuring execution excellence, budget management and impact measurement.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, scientific societies and research networks.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience in pharma, biotech or healthcare.
- Significant leadership experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Research or Evidence Generation.
- Proven ability to develop and execute multinational evidence‑generation strategies and to influence in global matrix organizations.
- Strong understanding of health‑technology assessment, reimbursement, market access and stakeholder environments across the Intercontinental region.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and project‑management skills, with fluency in English.
Required skills
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) in life sciences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project‑management tools.
