Data Governance & Lifecycle Enablement Lead

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Data Governance & Lifecycle Enablement Lead (80-100%) in Zurich to build the foundation for its strategic transformation and drive data-centricity across the bank. The role shapes how data is governed, understood, trusted and managed throughout its entire lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Shape enterprise-wide data capabilities and influence how data is managed across the bank
• Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders on strategic transformation initiatives
• Enable trusted data for regulatory, operational and analytics use cases
• With the Data Management & Architecture team, drive enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management frameworks
• Establish business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata standards and end-to-end data lineage
• Define standards, controls and metrics to improve governance maturity and data quality
• Lead adoption of data management capabilities and drive data literacy, stakeholder engagement and a data-driven culture
• Ensure effective management of data from creation through retention, archival and disposal

Required profile

• University degree in business informatics, computer science, banking, finance or similar
• Experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across business and technology functions
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change in a complex environment
• Self-motivated, hands-on and team-oriented
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage

• Enterprise data catalogue platforms such as Informatica, Collibra or Microsoft Purview
• Data management, metadata and records management tools, including data catalogues, lineage and governance platforms
