Data Management Specialist - Operations (m/w/d)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Data Management Specialist for its operations in Schaffhausen, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The role ensures the quality and availability of production data in SAP, the PLM system and shop-floor applications, and acts as the central link between production, engineering and IT in digitization projects. It is predominantly on-site, with hybrid working possible depending on the area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and cleanse SAP master data (material masters, parts lists, routings and work centers), including mass changes and analysis of process effects
• Represent production in the introduction and development of digital systems, especially PTC Windchill and Tulip, including requirements definition, testing and training of key users
• Test and verify SAP adaptations in close cooperation with specialists and IT managers
• Analyze and prepare production and process data, and develop reports and dashboards with Power BI using SAP, SQL, Excel and other data sources

Required profile

• Commercial or technical training, with further training or studies in business informatics, production, logistics or similar
• Several years of experience as an SAP Power User, ideally in PP/MM
• In-depth understanding of BOMs, routings and change processes
• Experience in system implementation projects
• Analytical, structured and quality-conscious way of working
• Fluent German and good knowledge of English
