Data Science Specialist

About the role

As a Data Science Specialist within Nestlé Nutrition’s Innovation Unit, you will drive predictive modeling projects that turn complex data into actionable insights for product development. You will work closely with scientists, sensory specialists, and product developers to ensure data integrity and compliance with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the application of machine‑learning techniques such as regression, classification, and time‑series forecasting to solve business problems.
• Prepare, clean, and transform large, complex datasets for robust modeling and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to design and deliver data‑science solutions aligned with business needs.
• Deploy and operationalize models in production environments using Azure ML, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Monitor model performance, continuously optimizing accuracy, robustness, and scalability.
• Translate analytical results into clear visualizations and structured narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience in data science within life sciences, food, or academia, applying agile development practices.
• Proven track record of building and deploying predictive models in production.
• Hands‑on expertise with ML frameworks and statistical methods, including Design of Experiments.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON) and data‑visualisation tools.
