Data Scientist – AI & Analytics Solutions

About the role
As a Data Scientist you will address high‑impact business challenges by turning large, complex datasets into scalable analytics and AI solutions. You will work closely with product, engineering and business partners to design, build and deploy models that deliver measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well‑defined analytics or AI problems, establishing hypotheses, success metrics and evaluation approaches.
- Perform exploratory analysis, feature engineering and model development on large datasets to uncover non‑obvious insights.
- Design and implement advanced algorithms, including machine‑learning models (tree‑based, deep learning, reinforcement learning) and operations‑research techniques (optimization, simulation).
- Apply Generative and Agentic AI methods where they add value, such as copilots or intelligent decision‑support workflows.
- Partner with Data/AI Engineering to productionise solutions in cloud environments, following strong software‑engineering practices.
- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle: problem definition, modeling, validation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Communicate results clearly to influence business decisions and mentor peers within a global data‑science community.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering real‑world data‑science or algorithmic solutions with measurable impact.
- Strong programming abilities in Python and SQL, and comfort with modern data/compute stacks such as Spark.
- Solid foundation in machine learning, statistics and experimental design.
- Familiarity with operations‑research methods (optimization or simulation) is a strong advantage.
- Experience with software‑engineering best practices (Git, testing, CI/CD) and DevOps‑style environments.
- Hands‑on experience handling large datasets and building production‑scale solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, product and business teams while driving topics independently.
