Database Migration Specialist - CRM Systems (100%)

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Database Migration Specialist to design and execute end-to-end data migration solutions for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems in a financial services environment. The role uses Python, SQL and PL/SQL to analyse data, profile it and assess its quality, then works with business analysts, architects and developers to define migration strategies, give technical guidance and keep documentation complete. The contract runs for 12 months with immediate start and possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced data analysis using Python and SQL, including data profiling, quality assessments and impact analyses
• Migration reports and detailed data mapping, transformation and loading to ensure data consistency and integrity
• Develop and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL and Python scripts for extraction, transformation, validation and loading
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related data issues, anomalies and performance bottlenecks
• Analyse source and target systems to define migration strategies and mapping specifications
• Work with business analysts, architects and developers to gather requirements and provide technical guidance during planning, execution and post-go-live
• Document migration processes, technical specifications and operational procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data migration, database development or data integration projects
• Proven track record delivering complex migrations in enterprise environments
• Experience with CRM systems in financial industries and with large, mission-critical datasets
• Very good English, verbal and written
